BeFRIENDER MINISTRY
We all go through tough times in this life. It may be grief
at the death of a loved one, separation or divorce, loneliness,
serious illness, hospitalization, being homebound, marriage
difficulties, addictions, depression or financial problems.
BeFrienders are dedicated lay people in the parish who care
and are trained to listen and accompany people in the hard
times. They can help bring peace into painful situations and
refer to professional help when needed. If you would like
a confidential visit from a BeFriender, or would like to volunteer,
please call Fr. Rudolph at 763-497-2745.
SHARING AND CARING HANDS
Parishioners serve meals to the poor in Minneapolis.
THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS BASKETS AND GIFTS
Parishioners, including schoolchildren, provide gifts to needy
individuals, in part by way of Catholic Charities and Hanover
Food Shelf. If you would like to help, or need help, call
Deacon Don Becker at 763-428-2386.
A COMMUNITY CARING FOR LIFE
Parishioners support expectant mothers and their children
by collecting items for them and supporting Total Life Care
Centers.
PRAYER CHAIN
A network of parishioners prays for requests. The first person
on the chain is Rose Becker. Her number is 763-428-2386.
SACRAMENTAL MINISTRY TO THE HOMEBOUND
The priests, deacons and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion
visit parishioners and others in nursing homes, hospitals
and in their homes with the Sacraments of Reconciliation,
Eucharist and Anointing.
MARRIAGE PREPARATION
The priests meet with couples who are preparing for marriage
to help them understand the meaning of sacramental marriage
in God’s plan and the beautiful teachings of the Catholic
Church about marriage and family life. The couple also fills
out a FOCCUS inventory, which they go over with a married
couple and one of the priests to learn more about the strengths
and weaknesses in their relationship. Practical details of
the wedding are also discussed. The goal of all the preparation
is to help the couple to have a happy and successful marriage
as God wishes it to be.
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
Several groups meet in the parish. Members accompany each
other as they face issues related to Alcoholism.
HOUSE BLESSINGS
The priests are happy to come bless your home with the prayers
of the Church and holy water.
